A decade or two in the making, Separation City (once known as The Truth about Men) boasts a screenplay that shows signs of considerable honing by Scott, a media and politics veteran, both in it’s jokes about an MP with a touch of the (alleged) Richard Worth’s – “What’s a prophylactic?” “Same as a condom, sir, only smaller” – and in the poignancy of its observations. Shagging your wife’s friend is bad. “It’s cruel and worse than that, it’s lazy”

Hilarious Kiwi Comedy - Separation City is a "don't miss" film

Outstanding cast, well-written and nicely paced, I found Separation City absolutely hilarious; the men’s group scenes were especially stand-out. Rhona Mitra looks beautiful as usual, and she can also act. Loved it (was lucky enough to go to a media preview) and will watch this film again when it comes out on the 6th Aug. Superb cast with talented Kiwi, Aussie, English and German actors.

This New Zealand movie is a must see!

It is written & co produced by Tom Scott and Directed by Paul Middleditch. It stars Danielle Cormack, Joel Edgerton, Rhona Mitra, Thomas Kretschmann, Michelle Langstone & Les Hill.

It is a sophisticated production with stunning scenes of Wellington and Berlin. As one would expect with something written by Tom Scott there is plenty of humour & it is damn good humour interspersed between the dramatic storyline.

Saw the film last night and seriously the film is stylish, sexy, intelligent and bloody hilarious.
Set in Wellington and Berlin the story rotates round two marriages that are falling apart and an infatuation that develops as a result. The performances especially by the international leads are superb. Aussie Joel Edgerton (Kinky Boots) whose hugely successful international career is flying high, gives a commanding performance as his character is torn between loyalty, family, love, lust and passion.

The stunningly beautiful leading British Actress Rhonda Mitra (Boston Legal,Underworld) is all class as she adds grace and finesse to her first rate performance. The perfectly cast supporting actors made up mainly of kiwis adds plenty of humour from the very clever, witty and thought provoking script by writer and co-producer Tom Scott.
